Hello internet reader. Our names are Shelley and Dimitri. This is the part of the site where we tell you a little bit about us and about what is it that we are doing here (hopefully you’ll be impressed).
This site started as a leisure internet venture for us. A conduit, if you like, through which we were able to share our Panama experiences and our opinions on every-day issues that either made the news or had an immediate impact on our lives as expats in Panama.
It did not take us long to realize that there was a growing number of people in our position out there: foreigners and expats who were looking into Panama as a place to retire, relocate, invest in or do business with or have already done so and were looking for information (in English) and updates.
Dimitri is a trained engineer and self-made online entrepreneur. He spent a great deal of his early professional life in Canada as a consultant for various industries. His life partner Shelley is an accomplished marketing and advertising specialist with an illustrious career working with some of the biggest Fortune 500 companies in Canada. Shelley also has started, built and developed numerous successful online businesses, some of them in Panama.
Every day, we funnel through a myriad of news reels, online forum threads and events all related to Panama, one way or another. We then choose the ones that (we think) matter the most to expats or those interested in Panama as a place to live, invest or just hang out on spring break or vacation.
